I am back from holidays!! So sad.....time flies when you are having fun. Well, after this break I am back into the routine, rested and with the batteries recharged. So what better way to start than Baking the World. This June the challenge the girls from Bake the World bring us is a fried african bread called MANDAZI or MAHAMRI if it contains coconut milk.

This fried bread comes from the Eastern region of Africa, from the coastal zone in Kenia and Tanzania. It´s still a very popular kind of bread because it´s quick and easy to make.
You can eat them barely with everything or just as an apetizer.
It´s similar to doughnuts, you can add some ingredients to make it sweeter, as the ones I bring you today. But I warn you they are less sweet than the doughnuts we are used to.
Usually, they are formed with a triangle form, like samosas, but you can see them with circular or oval form.
